Also, the announcers said something about this being Green Bay's only win in Dallas

Heard that too. They said "Something Favre was never able to do."

Great for him.

But the real question is "Has Terrell Pryor done it?"

Flynn should send Pryor a get well and thank you card. Matt seems to have a double dose of "Luck of the Irish" in escaping Oakland.
He sure through some great touchdown passes yesterday. Great timing and great accuracy.

hopefully he won himself a job as the backup for next season. shows how important your #2 guy can be. if this was last season they'd have to turn to graham harrell.

From Packernet-

quote:

Yet when Sunday's momentum reached its tipping point — when the Green Bay Packers were on the verge of stunning the 91,054 in attendance — Flynn looked into his teammates' eyes. With a touchdown, Green Bay could take the lead. Two minutes remained.

"We started moving a little bit," left tackle David Bakhtiari said, "and getting down to the red zone and he just came in — this is the only time he changed — and he just went, 'We need to score on this (expletive) drive! Let's go!'"

Message received.

Eddie Lacy blasted through the Dallas line to give the Packers a 37-36 lead as Flynn clenched both of his fists with a rebel yell. Here in his home state, Flynn earned a measure of redemption. Abandoned by Seattle, Oakland and Buffalo, Flynn again proved he's a gamer. A winner. The same guy who waited an eternity to lead LSU to a national championship led Sunday's inconceivable rise from the dead.

Standing at the podium afterward, a hoarse Flynn paused between words. The moment sunk in, he reflected. You bet getting released three times is driving him.

"I'd be lying if I said it didn't," he said. "But I can't really verbalize what I feel inside or what the emotions are inside. I just know that I'm very blessed, very lucky to be in this loc

This whole he is in a great system is horseshite. He's a good Qb period. Got beat out by essentially an all pro in Seattle. Outplayed Pryor in Oakland and then got cut for money reasons and then never even got a chance in Buffalo.
He's not Brees or Rodgers but he would do well at a lot of places given the opportunity.

THIS!.. more than capable QB who could start for some teams. Bet the cowboys had to be looking on in envy considering what Romo did at the end of the game.

Obviously, I'm not an NFL scout but why do QBs like Tony Romo last for years with huge salaries despite always coming up short? How is Flynn seen as an inferior QB? I don't get it. Is it arm strength, pocket awareness, what?

Matt Flynn is like the girl from the Seinfeld episode where one minute she appeared unattractive and the next time she looked hot. I remember watching Matt Flynn in an exhibition game this year (I think) when he was with the Raiders, and he looked horrible. It's simply a matter of a QB's supporting cast and overall environment. Joe Montana would have been a 3-4 year career average QB without the great supporting case around him at SF.
