Flying out of MSY on Thursday

I assume a lot of others are doing the same. How are we feeling about the airport being up and operational by that time?

Feeling nervous as frick honestly….trip has been planned for a year with trips to Diseyland and Napa after game. This is nervewracking

At the moment there is very little threat with the storm tracking 60-80 wiles West. That all could change though.

Zeta was a Cat 3. Ida is supposed to also be a 3 at landfall and maybe less. Same storm as last year. We stayed, lost power for a few hours in Metairie, then back up and running. You may be delayed in your return a day or two.

flying out Thursday, not that worried. If they are planning to have schools open on Tuesday or Wednesday, the airport should be fine.

Thursday? Even if storm smacks the hell out of Jefferson and Orleans Parish, Airport will be operational by Thursday and most airlines will be servicing it.
Challenge would hypothetically be for you: Not that the airport being up and operational, but depending on your location, can you get to the airport? That would be my only concern, tbh.

We run an online business and cannot afford to be without internet, so I changed our flight to arrive LAX tomorrow night.
Had the internet not be needed, we would have stayed. I was originally due to fly out Wednesday night. Not worried about a closed airport. It will be closed late Sunday but that is about it.
