James Moran Twitter

Some injury updates from Paul Mainieri:

- Brock Mathis is fine. He chose to catch Saul Garza today.
- Gavin Dugas is on track to return next weekend. Paul didn’t even rule out him doing something in the midweek
- Nick Storz is throwing bullpen sessions, but no timeline
#LSU

Also: Paul said that Jaden Hill “is not close” to returning. Sounds like some kind of setback or just a general lack of progress
#LSU

Brody Miller Twitter

Paul Mainieri on why he ended up pitching Zack Hess:

“I told him this is a really tough decision for me, because I don’t want to him to re-injure it. I don’t want to set him back even more, but at the same time if he didn’t pitch today then he didn’t pitch for two weeks.” #LSU
