Any idea approximately how much that would be? How big of a boat ... party barge?
The prices I got are about $100/person for the day.
ETA: I will start a thread when I have more info.

Mamaw and I are traveling to the game in our rv. Look for the white Alpa See Ya and have some great food and beverage, while we visit the great Northwest !! Bringing a large taste of Louisiana with us.
I hope they have rv sites on campus available. Any info would help.
We have already planned a two week trip !

I will probably be working in Seattle for 3-4 months next fall so I'll be there

It's on lake Washington. Hotels downtown are ungodly. Another option would be to rent out a boat on Lake Union or Washington, which is what i am going to do.

The entire city is money - there are virtually no sketchy areas.
Avoid Tacoma like the plague

Anyone looking at flying into other airports, like Portland or Vancouver?
Best bet is Alaska Air direct from DFW. I always fly AK Air.

Portland isnt worth the savings. But SeaTac airport is not in Seattle....check for shuttles with the hotel you book. You can usually find shuttles from some local taverns to Husky Stadium as well....and I dont think the stadium is shite, it's got great views for a college stadium. My guess with the UW Prez is that there will be some sort of "welcome" for Tiger fans.

The area near campus is more ecletic though. More of what you see in the Seattle movies of the 90's, think Reality Bites or Singles.
I didn't see Singles, but Reality Bites was filmed in Houston.

If you are looking for a bargain try the Aldwerood Mall area in Lynwood. Only about 15 miles north of the U-Dub campus on I-5 and 25 or so miles north of Downtown.

Downtown hotels will be expensive, but not far from the stadium. Might try Bellevue, a short ride across lake Wash. from the stadium. SeaTac airport is a 20 min. ride from downtown. Look for places like the Hampton Inns, Comfort Inns, etc. The stadium is absolutely beautiful, but does have a track around it. Early Sept. often (like this year) has the best weather with highs ~75, lows in the upper 50s, lots of sunshine...but no guarantees. The stadium can get quite loud if its a close game. I think there's a good chance we could have a rare night game at Husky Stadium for LSU! Arrive early and walk east of the stadium where fans dock their boats and 'tailgate'. You may be able to take a boat to the game from Kirkland (across Lake Wash. from the stadium) or the south end of Lake Union (which is in Seattle). For a day trip you might drive to Mt. Rainier, where you can drive to the lodge at Paradise and play in the snow! Take a ferry ride across Puget Sound from downtown. Vancouver B.C. is a 3 hr drive. Whistler, site of 2010 Olympics, is 2 hr. more, but if you have a few days, do it.

I'm definitely interested in doing that. Please keep us posted on what you find out.

I'm waiting on the charter company to call me back with some full quotes. Email me and I will respond when I get it.
