Are yall really trying to argue that Ricks is on Stingley's level?

Both 5 star players rated the best at their position and top 5 players in the country. With Ricks having played against much better HS competition, that's going to be an easy YES for me.

Edited to add that both Ricks and Stingley was first team All-Americans, Stingley as a senior and Ricks as a junior, and while Stingley was playing against Parview and Episcopal, Ricks was lined up against the likes of St John Bosco, Mission Viejo, Northwestern (Miami) and Hoover (Ala), some the best HS football programs in the country.

No one is taking a damn thing away from Stingley, but he is not the only cat out there, and my original point was that I would be disappointed if Ricks doesn't beat out Flott for the other CB position.

You are literally comparing a high school player to the best corner in college football.

24/7 had ricks as the #2 CB and #14 player overall.
Stingley was the #1 CB and #3 overall.

Prepare yourself to be disappointed.
LSU coaches are very high on all the CBs from last year. Ricks will be brought along slowly. Look for Flott to be the second CB with Ward and Jones the primary backups heading into the first game.

It’s amazing how starry-eyed fans get.

Flott was a straight menace as a true freshman, especially late in the season. It’ll take a lot to get that cat off of the field. I PRAY Ricks is good enough to start in this backfield.

Mike is so damn cute in that pic

Cute is not the word I think of when I see a Tiger.
When I see one in person I always survey the cage to make sure no one left a door open.
