I'll be driving down from TN with my son (he's a huge lsu fan and lsu is my 2nd favorite team) for the ole miss game. This will be our first trip to a lsu game. Any suggestions on parking and food? My son is big on wings. We're staying in New Orleans Friday through Sunday so any suggestions on must see sights also would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Vital piece of information needed, is your son 21 or over, or can he at least pass for 21?

Wear your TN gear. You'll be respected for not being an OM fan, and you'll get free food and beer like you're from the away team...

He's 19 and are you serious about wearing my UT gear? I'll have my UT or Cowboys hat on. Always do.

I read some good things about pluckers

Most definitely, wear your Tennessee gear.

Pluckers has good wings but TJ Ribs has great ones too. Get the sauce on the side.

If your sons in LSU gear and you're in UT gear at an Ole Miss game you'll definitely be treated well

UT gear it is and he'll be decked out. He is every weekend up here. We're both pretty pumped especially since it's a night game. We'll probably start making the trip down every year on the vols bye week's. Looking forward to lsu coming up here next year. We was at the game last time you all came up and we was at the 2011 SECCG. Lsu fans treated us good and I had my UT hat on lol.

Thanks for the replies..it's appreciated

And, for the record, I just started a post about hoping you guys tear bama up. Wanted you to beat aTm.

Get those turn overs fixed. I used to live in Tennessee. You have had it bad for years. Looks like good times are on their way.

Tiger fans will treat you right.

So sorry you don't get to see the most magnificent mascot ever. He was majestic.

RIP Mike VII.

Get a few wings for an early lunch, then hit the campus for marathon tailgating. Just walk up and ask to join the tailgates...you'll be treated like kings. Enjoy watching Ole Piss getting their arse kicked.

Thanks. Me and my son talked about not getting to see Mike. Really sorry for the loss.

Don't wear Cowboys stuff.

Wear your UT gear and tell them you're there to support LSU because they are your second favorite team. People will treat you like one of ours.

I went up to Knoxville the last time we played there and have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable away games I have attended.

if we have any kind of team this year (we still have no idea), the ole miss game should be rocking. park in the levee or the hayfield lots to be sure that you can head new Orleans direction when the game is over.

Louie's for breakfast early, then the Chimes for a few Bloody Marys and Gameday. Take in the tailgates along Dalrymple to the Indian Mounds. Engage and ask questions to get an in... They will issue times of interest, Check that the see if you want to see any. The band down the hill is worth the effort.

Chargrilled Oysters are a must. Acme has some good ones on Perkins, which is a few miles from the stadium.
