Bought two tickets to tonight’s baseball game. First time to attend a home baseball game in new stadium. Tracking the weather closely which, at this point, still looks ok for tonight. Recommendations welcome.

Don’t have a parking pass, where best to park?
Is there tailgating for LSU baseball?
Seats are in GS 210...is that covered?
Beer sold at stadium?

Park and tailgate in old front 9. Walk across to stadium just before game. Get toasted.

so far, bull pen lot has been free parking. not sure if that changed with the increased capacity.

if not bullpen lot, hay lot between the stadium and levee

yes but, so far, not nearly as much as in the past.

Your Seats are covered. I'll be in GS 213!

Pregame at Walkon's... Park in field by there and walk to the stadium.

People do tailgate but I dunno if the weather will be good for it tonight

Much obliged for the responses, see y’all tonight.

With any luck, CPM will have a better pitcher-feel than he did last Sunday. Listened to final three innings of that epic meltdown on radio and was just glad not to have been there. Mulkey news and full capacity should have the box rockin, even if heavy due sets in.

You'll be disappointed and bored out of your mind. The New Box atmosphere sucks. Our fans are too comfortable in the New Box. Nothing beats what the Old Box used to be, it was rowdy because everyone was hot, crowded and uncomfortable. It made for a better atmosphere because you couldn't just sit there.

A few follow ups...

What time to enter stadium?
Wife (no pics) wants to go to dinner at the Chimes before game for nostalgic reasons (92 grad), is Chimes a good call or too hard before a game?

No need to get there really early unless you just like watching BP.

I would say its a good call...fairly close to the stadium and they have a rooftop now which is partially covered in case it rains.

gates open 1 hr before game time. I believe the Pontiff Hall of Fame opens earlier. If you get a chance you should visit the HOF.

haven't been to chimes in a long time. But, sounds like a good option

I'll be at chimes for pregame at 1530. Probably leave there for the stadium at 1700 or so.. if you're there around then you'll get a table easily. They have the upstairs seating now, which is nice.

I'll be pregaming at Chimes as well.

The rooftop area is great. Hopefully not too wet.
