Does the Rally Bus get you to campus a few hours before the game? I am assuming so, but...

if you can get there Friday, I am working on a tour of the refurbished football facility (w/ locker room) for a friend coming in from Cincinnati.

No charge, of course. But its only you and one pal, right?

Hi mate - is this directed at me or the OP?

If so, it's just me and my pal. We get in to NOLA at about 1am Thursday night/Friday morning but would definitely be interested if it did not require us to get away super early in the morning.

Cheers

I’d be on the sideline for the experience and watch LSU later. No hesitation.

Just wanted to make sure you recognized that Poison said he'd be in town for the Arkansas game. Not sure if you're doing your tour of the new football facility for your friend on the Friday prior to the Auburn game or if you'll be doing it the weekend of the Arkansas game. Just thought I'd point that out so that it's clear for you guys. Poison, I hope you get a chance to check out the new Football facility/locker room. Enjoy yourselves while in Louisiana!

North endzone > South endzone (for atmosphere, not necessarily view)

Not true.

South endzone is probably the best atmosphere in the stadium. Same party as north except without the immature students. We can hold our liquor.

Are there VIP tailgates like with Saints games, or should we just wander around carrying beers?

Wander around. Be sure people hear your accent. You’ll be feted to within an inch of your life.

SofaKingTrill, thanks for pointing that out. Much obliged.

Poison, that offer was directed at you, mate, for Arkansas at LSU. If the OP (GeauxBlue89) wants this for the Auburn game, he can let me know on here, this thread, and I'll see what I can do.

Poison, a game-day tour (Saturday) is not really a great option, due to how busy folks there are. But not necessarily completely out of the question. However, a 9:30am tour (or maybe a bit later) on Friday I could probably manage.

I just don't know anything about Rally Bus or Baton Rouge Blitz, but I assumed those were gameday only transit services.

That's a very kind offer mate and very greatly appreciated - we would love to. Those bus services you mentioned are gameday only, but it looks like there's a bus line from NOLA to Baton Rouge that we can get on the Friday anyway departing at 8.20am and arriving at about 9.35am. I am not entirely clear where it drops us off, but I am sure we can make that work.

No issue with two trips out to Baton Rouge in two days either. We won't get much of an opportunity to check the place out on the Saturday as RallyBus only gets us in early afternoon for tailgating (if it even runs, it looks like they need 46 more passengers, but that's a separate issue).

I can't figure out how to send a PM but if it's easier to communicate that way let me know! And thanks again!

Poison, I have a few ideas to make your transit easier, but we have ~five weeks to plan this, so that's good.

I know where MegaBus lets off and Greyhound too, so coming there to pick y'all up should work. Assuming y'all "vet" me and determine I am only a little insane, and I do some research and make sure there won't be any Crocodile Dundee "that's not a knife, THAT's a KNIFE!!" moments.

Email sent! Thanks JP! The similarities between Mick Dundee and myself start and end with the accent.
