quote:
But, with post after post and page after page of taunting A & M about its reputation for buggery, you are stirred with indignation only when the Aggies are accused of not knowing how to build a "proper bonfire"? We grieve these deaths with you, but you guys are off the charts WEIRD.
Yes, that’s exactly what “stirred me with indignation.”
And you’re saying because you find the traditions of another school WEIRD, it’s open season on making light of the deaths of 12 kids?
Aggies are mercilessly ribbed. We’re tough-skinned, we’re used to it, and we can laugh at ourselves.
But there’s a line.

If you drop something, don't bend over to pick it up if you're a man.

I would bet very slim chances of them still having anything. Possibly still some left at 2 but not a great chance of that.

I go there a few times per year and I always come back thinking it would be a nice place to live, but I wouldn’t want to visit.
Aggies are generally nice, helpful people and the pride they take in their tradition is impressive albeit a little cultish

There are many bars on Northgate.
I assume you mean you will try to scalp tickets. That's of course easily found walking around Kyle Field (I recommend North end of it). So if the plan is to try scalping first, your best bet is to go to Northgate, which you can walk to after seeing if you have tickets.
The Dixie Chicken will likely be PACKED or at least no seating. I recommend Corner Bar or the Backyard next to Dry Bean (all on the same strip and easy to find.
