First thought is it saved us from us running four plays and turning the ball over on downs.

What you talking about Willis? You blind or crazy? You know we would have won that game with that play. Mo would have been on our side.

Worse call I've ever witnessed. I don’t know that the change of possession would have made a difference. With that said, the opportunity was taken away. Patrick was clearly in bounds, foot/toe down and maintaining possession. Patrick was robbed of an NFL type interception and LSU of an opportunity.

Did they ever try explaining that call or did they just say frick it?
The only 'attempt' at an explanation I've ever heard went like this...

PP had possession and feet in bounds, BUT!!!! Julio Jones was also touching the ball and HE was OOB, therefore...OOB.

ESPN did a segment about a year ago on the worst calls in NCAAF history -- Peterson's interception was #2 behind the onside kick between Oregon and Oklahoma in 2006. Video below...a true travesty in officiating.

Bama knows that the best person to pay-off is the replay guy.

Auburn pays the field refs (and players). Bama goes for the one that matters.
