First half team

With Wade I felt like we were a 2nd half team. Now I feel completely opposite. We just don't seem to stay focused for 40 minutes on defense.

Not all season. Early on we did but then we were the team to take over late. Vandy is just terrible but the last two games we've been outscored heavily in the 2nd half.

were we a first-half team against Auburn in which we were losing by 12 points within the first 5 minutes of the game?
Were we a first-half team against Mississippi State?
I could go on but I think you get my point. Either you have the long-term memory of ten second Tom..... Or you just started paying attention at some point after we logged our 14th conference win.

Tbh, with wade we wrecked in the first half. Then sucked arse for the first 10 mins of the second. Then obliterate them statistically in the last five minutes. Just to win by 1, or in OT...

We take off 8 minute every game. Typically near the half (on either end)

We rarely played a game where we didn’t hit some sort of wall. I remember one game, I think it was our first loss to Florida, but we didn’t score for like 11 minutes straight or something crazy. It’s happened a lot, especially against inferior teams.

LSU has been a 2nd half team majority of season.
Last 2 games without Wade LSU showed great pre-game planning and execution in first half and then poor execution in 2nd half.
I notice LSU passes ball more initially and then in 2nd half revert to jacking up shots without sharing the ball much.
It’s different because they play a different games from one half to the next.

This team is not completely built yet. We depend on freshmen. We also need a consistent three point shooter who can create off the dribble.
We've come a long way in two years but we still have some holes/weaknesses.

Young team that needs to learn how to finish. Gonna catch up with them at some point in the tournament I am afraid.
