Been a long time lurker and occasional poster. No pics of my daughter, so don't ask...

I purposely chose this game to give her a taste of the tailgating scene and the game without being too crazy and allowing her to take it all in. Problem is that it's been quite a while since I've been out tailgating so I don't have a destination. We're gonna get there early to find parking, but we don't have a place to hang out before all the important stuff starts.
Any of you baws tailgating this weekend and wouldn't mind a couple people tagging along? I'm looking for a spot that's not too loud (hurts her ears) and has some other kids she can play with.
TIA

Also likely won't be cold for us but bring something in case wind blows to keep her warm. Took little kids when lsu played east Mich? Or some such team. It was like 90 going in. Had to leave they couldn't hang. Also unsure of game time. Weather etc

Just hanging around Tiger Stadium & the PMAC should be a fun time with a lot going on, so you could walk around there and check the players/band walk down the hill in the late afternoon.

TAF has a tailgate party for its members & all their guests in the PMAC if you want to get in there for some a/c early afternoon. If you aren't a member you can join for $50 like I did. It's just an option to sit down and watch football on the big screen, and band/cheerleaders perform in PMAC after walking down the hill.

What part of campus you going to park? Weather's supposed to be nice, maybe a little warm but honestly campus might not be as packed as usual even though it's homecoming.

Hope y'all have a blast

Thanks! She's so excited to go to the game, but I think she's more excited to be around other kids and play before. I have some friends that will be near the staudium around game time, but would really like a place to go before that.

We're gonna prob park in the Parker coliseum lots for free cause it's easiest to get back to I12. We won't go the TAF route. Just want her to be able to play with other kids between 10am to 3pm before we make our way toward the hill.

Anywhere. Just don't come too early if it's hot.

You're definitely NOT gonna like the million decibel irritating, annoying and obnoxious Piped-In music that the LSUAD DG's think is so cool inside the stadium.

Totally takes away and destroys the presence of the band and the college football atmosphere.

They don't seem to care that the majority of LSU Alums and Fans hate it with a passion to the point where it's a factor in not going to games.

Bring a cardboard box and a six pack and take her to the Indian mounds. When I was that age it was my favorite part of going to the games.

Drink some beer while she slides and rolls down the Indian mounds for an hour or so. Then go see Mike and watch everyone walk down the hill.

sorry, dude, but the Indian Mounds have been roped off and off limits on Game Day for ?quite a few? years now - The game traffic (and all the kids sliding) were eroding them down - they are 5,000 years old; older than the pyramids of Egypt, ya know

ETA: downvote was for the death of the tradition of kids playing on the Mounds, not for your suggestion

There have been tons of kids up there for each home game this year. I tailgate over there and have yet to see anyone run them off.

My understanding is that they roped off the Indian mounds because some idiots were setting up a tailgate tent on the top of one of the mounds.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! We're both really looking forward to spending the day together. She doesn't always understand what's going on during the game, but I've never seen a kid cheer for her Tigers with such exuberance!

I seriously doubt campus cops are going to put a 7 y/o girl in handcuffs and throw her in a holding cell for sliding down a hill.

Worst case scenario is that dad gets a warning.

I bet you're fun at parties. Piped in music is now a part of the atmosphere and has been. Get over it
