Are you talking about my post, or the post I was responding to?

You are or you’re.

Interesting that you couldn’t put anyone on this years team against the national championship squads.

Nice come back on the 2011 team.

More than the current OC has scored.

Lets give him a chance to work his system in before the season begins and 2 games then we will keep score.

I'm apathetic to the outcomes at this point, but I'm always excited when this time of year rolls around. Clean slate for everybody. College football in general is like an old friend rolling around that you haven't seen in awhile.

You were boasting about the OC for the upcoming season and then asked how many points the 2011 team scored against Bama that year. Even called the person dumb. The fact is that the OC that year did better vs Bama than Ensminger did.

Wrong. SE came to be OC in the middle of the season with an interim coach. And I stated the OC has a chance to be much improved not boasting. Is it not fair to let him get his system in and give him 2 games with Bama before we state who was better? It seems dumb to me to not!!

Let's hope Ensminger can help get us an undefeated regular season and a national championship appearance.

Hope so but doubtful with this schedule. I just want to see an offense that actually helps the defense win some games. At first anyway, after that I want to beat Bama, after that I want to win the West, after that I want to win a bowl game, after that I want to win the 'ship, after that I want to win the lottery.

FWIW the 2011 team had the most difficult schedule in the country. I think it's safe to say that the offense wasn't all that bad.

I guess if you want to ignore actual facts and concentrate on every negative that you can think of but that's a helluva way to look at things.

Maybe not all that bad but it was the defense that saved us. Look up the numbers running and passing to see where we were ranked--it ain't pretty. Saban coached a terrible first game against us that year.

I know I can't be the only one. I usually have a burning in my stomach for the season to start, reading all the previews online and in print, counting down the days. Just don't feel it this year and it's depressing as hell but it's not there for me. Maybe it's Alleva, F. King, Ed O., the offensive coordinator debacle, or something else. But I wish I could feel the excitement and anticipation again.

You and about 15% of the season ticket holders.

Funny, I'm just the opposite. We were out coached every single year Miles was here. Coach O may or may not be the answer, but he will be a step up. So I'm excited.

The good part of all of this is we'll get to find out how right you are in a few short weeks. If he's a step up he should be delivering better results.

Well I mean technically yes he did. But I think you're splitting hairs a bit. Both games in 11 were awful from an offensive standpoint.

I was only saying that because I felt like the 2011 OC was being put down while Ensminger was being praised. Those comparisons are hyperbole of course to try and make my point.

I'm anxious to see what Ensminger does and I'm keeping an open mind about what this offense can be.
