My son enters his senior year at LSU. Prior to that we really didn’t follow college football or watch many college football games. We are now rabid LSU fans. My wife and I plan our weekend around LSU football. I will forever be an LSU fan.
I have not earned the right to comment on the team, coaches, recruiting or on other people who post (they are far more knowledgeable about LSU then I am).
I will say that I have never seen anything as exciting week in and week out as LSU football and for that matter SEC football. As of most of you, if LSU was 0-11 I would still be watching the 12th game of the season.
The reason for this post is to remind people that as in a train ride sometimes we are looking toward the train station and not enjoying the ride and scenery. This year could be special but the next 2 years after that could be even more. My son and I are going to enjoy the scenery.
I read Tiger Droppings everyday of the year and thank all the people who keep me informed.

My son graduated Cum Laude in Accounting and will be living at home while he attends SMU for his Masters in Accounting. We are looking forward to the train ride this year regardless of who the engineer is.
Probably the coolest post I have ever read on here. Thats what Tiger football is all about or at least oughta be about.

i agree. sometimes its hard not to go apeshit when we get an LSU loss, but enjoying the current state of LSU football for what it is remains something for us all to strive for.
To all the haters of his post, frick off and grow up.

Thanks Dad. Hope you understand that the rant is not a reflection of all college football fans, but this is Tigerland! When it finally cools off in Dallas, take in an SMU game. Great on campus stadium. Not the bedlam of Tiger stadium, but a good college football experience.
