The Patriots have been the the standard in NFL defense under Bill bellichek. It’s time to start looking at some of the under the radar who could come help Aranda scheme and be his Joe Brady

There are 2 names on the Patriots coaching staff:

1. Steve — the SON of Bill who has 8 years of experience. He would be the #1 hire for obvious reasons. Son of the greatest coach of all time, and could collab with Bill for Big Games

2. Jerod Mayo — Some May remember him as a stud linebacker FOR Tennessee. He was a standout linebacker for Bellichik for a long time- “the. Brains of the operation if you will”. It would be a great hire and he knows the SEC. great recruiter

If we were to hire an assistant to help the highest paid coordinator in college football do his job, it’d be beyond ridiculous. With that out of the way, Aranda made adjustments in the 2nd half and the defense played way better.

For that to work, you don’t only need a “Joe Brady” to come in and be the spark...you need a “Steve Ensminger” to accept the changes.

Ensminger has always humbly gone about his job for the betterment of LSU. Brady was accepted as just another positive addition.

Aranda is different. Not worse, but definitely different. His claim is that HE is the mad scientist that is the one out-scheming the OCs. That’s where he makes his money. I don’t know if he would accept a “Joe Brady” because if it worked it would seriously undercut his reputation.

Aranda will not (nor should he) accept an understudy that's there to ultimately take his job. He's 43 years old.

Ensminger is in his 60s. It's a completely different situation.

If they don't want him they'll have to fire him.
