I think there's middle ground to be had here.
Do I think he could have been restrained without being shot? Yes
Was the cop acting hastily and acted out of fear? Yes
But also, from their perspective, they were called because he was threatening someone with a gun. Tazer didn't work. He very well could have been going for his gun, and you have about 1-2 seconds to make the determination.
I just don't think a side has to be picked. Saying "idk" in this situation is just fine. They should have been able to restrain him and he should have been compliant. All in all, both sides made mistakes IMO.

ok so another poster that is ashamed because Fournette has a different opinion than you
I was more replying to your comment than to Fournettes decision to wear a shirt. people, of all color, will continue to be shot by police if they act like Sterling did, and not a single cop will ever be convicted of anything if the situations are anything like Sterlings.
and i'm not ashamed of him for voicing his opinion. ALl he did was wear a stupid shirt, without really commenting on it.
I think he's an idiot for trying to weigh in on the situation at all, regardless of his opinion on it. No one cared about his opinion, and he should have kept it to himself.

At least we agree on this. My bad as well.

C'mon y'all this thread was about Guice trying to get everyone to come together and y'all turn it into an argument. Had nothing to do with Leonard or anyones opinion. I personally thought the police went too far and shouldn't have shot him (he also shouldn't have had an illegal firearm) fwiw but but that does not mean Guice's message is wrong.

Next tweet will be Ducre wearing an I cant breath shirt while also bearing a "back the blue" hat

Are you ok with that? Are you ok with resisting arrest resulting in summary execution?

It isn't.
Some just want players to play football and not worry about anything else. Then those same people complain about the players not taking the student part seriously in student athletes.
Personally, I like players who are opinionated, intelligent, and willing to discuss social issues. Free speech and dealing with different and diverse opinions are a big part of being on a college campus.
I applaud both of them for showing support for what they think is right without insulting anyone, without crossing lines, and without threatening anyone because opinions are different.

Not exactly the same thing.

And I disagree with your somewhat disagree.
I believe Guice is just a cool dude who wanted to show support for the police in such times.. Has absolutely nothing to do with what anyone else has said or did.. or if he was instructed to.
Guice, just like Fournette, will share what he feels.. and we don't need to dislike a person that we don't always agree with.
I have no issue with either of them. I have always thought Guice was such a charismatic character. Really glad to see this.
