I was pissed off watching the first half because it felt like LSU controlled the game and the field position. YET, they only had 7 points. IMO, Denbrock was calling a "scared" game rather than truly trying to attack and I was worried he was wasting the defensive effort LSU was putting forth. It felt like the game should have been 14-3 or 17-3 given LSU seemed to control the first half. Contrast that with LSU's offensive approach in 2019 where, after forcing a turnover on what looked like a scoring drive for Alabama, LSU immediately went on the attack with the play calling. It was fast. A little bit risky. But when Chase grabbed the TD it seemed to send a message of "We ain't scared of you and we are here to kick your arse!"
Denbrock called a good game. Bama’s d-line pushed the pocket enough to bust up some passing plays and made JD scramble more than we would’ve liked. The game plan was smart and we scored when we needed to.
You have to remember we were a 13.5 underdog at home….and on paper, we were in a pretty big talent deficit compared to Gump. They were always gonna slow us down.
And the offensive approach was different in 2019 because that was probably the greatest and most unstoppable offense of all time. You had 2 all pro wide receivers…the greatest single season passer of all time…..a 1st round pick RB….another 2nd round pick wr…..and an offensive line that won the award for the nations best.
Kelly and Denbrock called a great game that allowed us to win.

Tipped or not Sage Ryan held the guy from the moment he got to him. It was 100 percent pass interference.
From what I saw, it looked like typical initial interaction between DB and WR. If it wasn't that was holding, not PI. Looked to me like the WR tripped on his own feet but I did not see a good replay showing the WR route and PI. All the replays focused on the tip.
And maybe a bit of P&G glasses plus my son played on the same team as Sage for one year (my son tells people Sage was an 8th grader playing Varsity and he was a senior and Sage play way more than he did,

Bama never had the ball and the lead!

Felt like that in the stadium in 2012 and 2014 too.
They usually still win. Made this one feel so much better.

It definitely felt like we were dictating the game just couldn’t break away.
Couple that with a couple…strange calls and bama is in any game
