From the stadium it felt like we dominated Bama and all their points were directly assisted by the refs. That and blind luck kept bama in it. Did it feel the same on TV?

we both got penalties called. But ours seemed to just tack on 10 yards to the end of a good play on first down. Bama got a free 10 yds and a fresh set of downs after going 3 and out in pivotal moments in the game.

This isn’t even close to being true. I’ll give you the 3 points after the overturned fumble.

I wouldn’t say dominated having just watched Georgia do that to Tennessee. It did appear from the opening drive that we were controlling the pace and tempo throughout the game though. The crowd factor cannot be understated in that. They had their share of big plays too, and the second half felt like 2 heavyweights trading blows.

Not spotting Bama 14+ points before we started to play convinced me we had a real shot of beating them. We didn't start fast, but we finally didn't start from behind.

Bama had far more yards than we did. I wouldn’t say we dominated them, but we just executed better than them, and made less mistakes.

Their first TD drive they called us for that tip of the pinky facemask while Bryce was surrounded by 4 tigers and giving himslef up. And it was 3rd and 10.

Their 2nd TD was that weird cluster play where the whole D line had a swipe at Bryce and Harold perkins was being severely held and then he popped it out to a wide open WR. Also 3rd and 10.

And their OT TD, the tipped ball, which may or may not have been tipped. But it wasnt even pass interference! THe guy fell down cuz the ball was thrown behind him. That was also 3rd down.

That was the firs time ive ever felt the refs were actually working against us.

We dominated Bama in what felt like everything but possession. I felt like we were on defense all game.

That’s why going for 2 was the right call.

Regardless of whether the ball was tipped or not, I could see the interference from me seats in the NEZ. That was clearly PI (again, if we imagine a world where the ball is not tipped).

It did feel like we dominated them all game but they outgained LSU by 98 yards and 3 more first downs. I was surprised to see that after the game.

LSU had the ball for 4 more minutes. 32 vs 28.

Field position and TOP were both in LSU's favor.

Bama did have the big chunk play for 40+ yards, and they only outgained LSU by less than 100 yards total. Take away the 40-something yard pass TD that should have been a holding penalty or a sack, and it's even closer. Taking field position into account with lsu consistently having shorter fields to work with, the yardage didn't really seem to be an indicator that Bama's offense was better.

Less penalties and winning the TO battle were huge

Would you believe Bama had more total yards, passing yards, third down conversions, and fourth down conversions.

LSU won the time of possession battle 32-28.

That game was pretty much dead even - as the final score indicated....nobody "dominated" anyone....

I would say decisive or heroic victory, for all my total war fans.
