doctor said would need about two weeks to heal before Feduccia could play without pain.

How long to heal and have some pain? Since when are athletes not supposed to play with a little pain?

He's a catcher and hurt the hand he uses to catch 150 pitches a game.

Probably just put his papers in to transfer back

Would love this. I was so excited about his potential, then poof. Gone.

And running backs run with pain in their ankles and knees all the time...I mean..if it’s healed..it’s healed.

Hope so, although it did say play without pain. Not sure how much pain is implied there but doesn't sound like he will be 100%

Every year right before the season someone gets hurt. Hopefully the two weeks is the minimum.

They also sit out games when they're not 100% healthy. But I'm sure it would be great to have our starting catcher rush back to the field in February so, you know, not to look like a pussy

You're such a badass. Maybe we should give our catcher sufficient time for his hand to heal.

Played plenty. It's a 60 game regular season. There's no need to rush back to show how tough you are

There is certainly a want for him to return to health for the ND series.

In positive news, Skip Bertman Plaza will be built next to and outside the front gates of Alex Box Stadium just to the west of the existing Champions Plaza.

The new plaza will include tributes to Skip's championship teams.

It will also feature a statue of Coach Bertman.
