Yeah Marcus was ridiculous fast.
He was sick. Tiny, but fast as hell. We had the Goldsmith twins who were amazing football players but not that fast (4.6 range but played a lot faster). When he would take off on a fly route, it was over if Max could hit him. Unfortunately for us, he hit him when they needed to.
But you guys had too many weapons that year (98) for anybody to contend with. It wasn't even fair.

The thing that killed me about Marcus is how they would cover him. He would run a 5 yard hitch, stop and catch the ball, turn to the DB, and the DB would stand there about 4-5 yards off of him. He would then just run straight past him. Meanwhile, everytime I caught the ball...ok ok the 20 times I touched the ball
...they would attack me and tackle before I turned around.

fear.
I played offense, but I know we tried so many different things on defense in the Dome against you guys. It worked a few times. We would force a turnover or two, put you guys in a 3rd and long, and then somebody would run for a 80-yard touchdown.

I watched Southern set up their equipment at my high school and time one of our guys. I watched him run a 4.20. He was scary fast. The problem was he was also scared of gettin hit, so later in the year I watched him quit football and go to work at Burger King.

I'll say Trindon Holliday.
We also played against Brandon Landers (Grambling QB and he had some serious wheels in HS).
Scariest is still Tyson Jackson and Quinn Johnson senior year at West St. John and we were a bunch of white kids...and somehow won?

I played for Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, LA. I got to play against...
Cecil "The Diesel" Collins - Leesville High School. (It was actually a pleasure to be beat by Leesville my Sophomore year because his performance left the whole stadium speechless)
Josh Reed - Rayne High School
(Unfortunatly my coaches thought it would be a good idea to schedule our Senior Year homecoming against Rayne when they had a guy who would play Reciever, Quarterback, DB, return kicks...I think at one time he kicked off and sprinted down the field and returned his own kick..lol.
