For a certain percentage of our fan base, the game will never trump the party, no matter who the opponent is.

I'm surprised those people even showed up, since the weather kept a lot of fans from tailgating.

I watched the SkyCam broadcast and that camera made passes over the crowds and there were plenty of empty seats in the 4th quarter, which surprised me.

That's because people went to ground level to rush the field who were sitting high up. The tunnels were full of people during overtime. I tried to get to a point I could see the field in 5 different tunnels and couldn't get close.

Didn't hear any complaints about traffic either.

Two people in my section left with 6 minutes to go and LSU up by 2. From speaking with them during the game I knew they lived out of town, were obviously over 60, and had to drive at least 90 minutes to get home. They were the only ones who left early in my section, which was pretty remarkable.

You took account of every person in your section and their attendance?

There is a group of fans that ALWAYS leave at halftime regardless of the score.

There is another group that does the same when the 3rd qtr ends.

No, but you usually can see people leave and you know who’s around you. I can’t remember a game when I only saw 2 people leave before the end.

Said he was going to finish watching at his tailgate.

Seriously, why would anyone do this?

IMHO, this is the biggest reason that huge empty gaps appear in the west and east lowers most games. I sit in the east lower on about the 30 yard line, north of midfield, and honestly the west lower across from me looked full the whole game. Maybe a few seats here and there but nothing like Ole Miss or Moo U.
