A trio of LSU defenders returned to practice, albeit it in yellow non-contact jerseys, but a starting defensive lineman was absent from the media viewing portion of practice on Monday afternoon.

Cornerbacks Greedy Williams and Mannie Netherly and linebacker Patrick Queen practiced in yellow Monday after sitting out the first scrimmage of camp on Saturday. Fullback Tory Carter was also in yellow.

Defensive end Rashard Lawrence was absent up front for unknown reasons. Glen Logan and Neil Farrell were the first-team defensive ends when LSU did drills in a three-man front. Nose tackles Ed Alexander and Tyler Shelvin, who both missed time last week, both practiced in full.

Safety Eric Monroe continued to be absent after not scrimmaging on Saturday. It is unclear what has kept him out, but he hasn’t been spotted at the media viewing portion of practice since the middle of last week.

QUARTERBACKS SPLIT

Video - Joe Burrow and Justin McMillan with the wide receivers #LSU

Video - Meanwhile, Myles Brennan and Lowell Narcisse were throwing with the running backs and tight ends. Here’s a video of some wheel routes, which are always a crowd pleaser.

First thing I do with these camp reports is see if Orgeron tore off his shirt and ran screaming into the Mississippi.

Anyone else?

I imagine that’s how practice starts

You forgot to highlight, probably one of the most important bit of news. Clyde Edwards didn't practice. Don't let it happen again!

This is great but I’m confused. I haven’t had time to keep up with camp reports, but I recall reading that Ed Alexander was out with an injury, so Fehoko was moved to Nose Tackle.

What are the projections for starters along the DLine?

Unless something changes it'll be Feheko, Big Ed, Lawrence..

If Ed is actually held out then it will be Logan, Feheko, Lawrence.
