They’re slow playing Noot so that he’s available in the Spring.

Hellmers is competing. I think he, Jay and Wes will do all they can to make him a roster guy, but the roster is going to be tight. He's a good kid. Big kid. Tough kid. Shows flashes. I think his status really comes down to his performance from a consistency standpoint and how the injury/redshirt spots play out. Regardless, I don't expect him to be a big contributor. Way too many good arms.
Noot had arm soreness. He was also probably already behind on his throwing schedule. I'm just curious if he developed the soreness when he got here or if it was something that they (and MLB teams) knew about. Too quick of a ramp up after not throwing this summer or a red flag? Also, I think Naptime insinuated that he had some maturity issues. Is he a guy that could walk off to a juco? I want him here. I think he's as good or better than Shores in that class.

I don't think we see much of Noot until spring scrimmages.

There would have been only four at 3rd till White left the scrimmage. The three that alternated at 3rd for Gold are, IMO, coming off the bench this season and I think CJJ was just looking at them in positions they may play in a reserve role.
