If only many players already played with eye shields...oh wait, they do. And it's something the NFLPA has actively negotiated for in collective bargaining.

These aren’t shields covering only the open eye area.. this extends down enclosing the direct pathway of air. Making it more humid, more restrictive and probably more apt to fog up.

Sure. But that's the whole point of collective bargaining. The players and owners negotiate what is a reasonable face restriction. They'll figure it out and everyone will make millions or billions of dollars, all while laughing at us consumers.

It takes years of testing before helmets go into production, this shite will never happen.

Let’s say they have those. What about when players take out their mouthpiece and spread saliva?

JJ Watt said he wouldn’t play if he has to wear that

He’s also the biggest active drama queen in sports, so he’ll say or do anything to put the attention on himself.

Can’t wait to see the heat stroke fatality numbers with this bright idea.

That’s never gonna work. those that have never played simply don’t understand the amount of oxygen and airflow needed to perform. Requiring athletes to wear this would risk huge health liability for a player heat stroking out and or death.

This x 1000. Could you imagine practicing in August/September heat in that in the South? Those conditions are brutal enough without air restrictions.
