It is the complete reason why we wouldn't want Jimbo as a coach. First, he went conservative in their last possession when they could have ran out the clock, then played prevent defense when their pass rush was killing us.

Ironically, had he gone really conservative on 3rd down, they likely win the game. While overall the rush defense was very solid all night, Achane was getting positive yards on almost every carry. Had they just handed him the ball on 3rd and 1, they most likely convert and game is pretty much over.
Instead, you have one of those moments I never understand, where highly paid and seemingly intelligent people just make ridiculously stupid decisions. Roll your immobile right handed QB left and ask him to make a throw on the run, when all of his success came from hanging in the pocket. I just don't get it, but I'm glad it happpened

We finally threw a pass to Bech, and executed well for a series. Still only 10 second half points.
Luckily the defense improved week to week all season while Max and the offense regressed with the exception of Florida and Saturday.
