Maybe you should read some of the players quotes on the booing and then come back

Oh my name is Julian (pronounced with a soft J, like Julio) but I prefer Dweezil.

Excellent post by GCS. Miles consistently delivers a 9-10 win team.
To those who say "yes, but we paid for more", let's note that no coach, regardless of pay, can promise title contention every year. That level of excellence requires major bribes.

We overcame the best passing attack we will see all year. No other team in the SEc has the ability to throw in Alabama like the team we just shut down in the second half. It's on like donkey king for the Tide.
If we get by this weekend we may run the table. LSU has the best D in the country in my opinion but they will have to find an offense if they hope to beat the tide.
You are absolutely correct scoop. A lot of football to go before we match up, injuries and such will still play into it, but as it sits right now I would see a low scoring win for Bama. 17-10 maybe?
If we can manage to find even an average passing game it would be a pickem. The teams resemble each other in almost every area but QB.
good luck this week.

115th out of 120th is okay?
115 is FREAKING ATROCIOUS !
An abysmal FAILURE !
An indictment of our recruiting !
And I could go on and on.......
BUT-here is what you don't seem to understand that Chris is trying to tell you; J Lee's performance in games and practice is considerably WORSE that JJ. Hard to believe, but TRUE.
There is no Brett Farve on the sidelines. As much as I WANT J. Lee to be The Man, he's just not.
(were I wearing The hat I'd install the wildcat and play both J. Lee & J.J., but then I don't get to see the PICK SIXES every practice and have the luxury of my fantasies).

The problem, Chris, is not that we are unsatisfied with the position we are in right now. No one will argue that 4-0 (2-0 SEC) is a horrible situation to be in. The issue at hand is, frankly, what will happen in the coming weeks when we get to the meat of the schedule and actually start playing decent competition. We are LSU. We do not expect to lose to the warm-up teams at the beginning of the schedule (BCS or not). We fully expected to be in this position right now. The problem is that, givin what we have seen so far, we have a sneaking suspicion that 2008 and 2009 are about to repeat itself. We've seen this before. A promising start only to end in a 4 or 5 loss season. Forgive the LSU fanbase if we are concerned that the things we need to address before the big games aren't being fixed in the small games.

Live in Georgia and the Dog Fans are none too happy. Losing to SC and Ark was bad but losing to MState was unforgivable, yet LSU so called fans want to run off the most successful coach in LSU history. I don't always agree with Les's decisions but I dang sure respect what he brings to LSU. We are recruiting quality athletes with character. Given a chance I believe Miles will make the necessary changes to improve the offense as he has done with the defense. Some of the statements made on this site about Miles and his coaches are simply assinine and can't do anything but hurt LSU. I certainly hope that potential recruits don't read the rant!!

So If Les came out quite bluntly and gave as a reason that LEE might really suck in practice would that be good enough for you? Or would you bash him for that. Actually you would be right to bash Miles for that because it would be improper which might be why he is not doing it
As Chris said these Coaches want LSU to succeed. I am sure Crowton would LOVE to keep his job. Which means they are putting the best option they have.
They are not taking it personal. They are not telling the LSU fan base to jump in the lake.
The only ones that view it in these soap opera terms are people like you. You must take the game of football and make it a DRAMA 24/7. Now drama is great. US verus them is great. However that usually occurs with other teams and not within one's own team

Of course!!! Oh I see it now!!! No he is just explaining what Saban so well called it LSU Catastrophe syndrome. Which I suspect it based in a much deep rooted Louisiana inferiority complex sadly (Maybe not for you but you are feeding off it)
Jobs are leaving , We got 21,000 oil field related workers out of work, we are now entering our 3 straight decade of population loss, LSU is facing Budget cuts that could devastate it, the BP thing, Middle Class folks in SOuth Louisiana because of the spill having to rely on Catholic Charities.
So I see the connection. The more things get dire for us the more we lash out. A prime target of that is the LSU Coach and QB. People in reality are mad and Les is the target. He is a easy one that cannot dare talk back really. IF he does (such as on the booing) well he is crucified.
LSU football is one thing , perhaps the only thing, that some fans think they can control in this mixed up world well it seems they have no control over anything. That is one reason why many have personalized as US (fans) against THEM(LES and CO)

You seem to have an inside view of the practices. How bad does Lee look? I mean, all reports out of LSU are that JJ gets 75% of the snaps with the 1's, so in the 25% of the snaps that Lee gets, how many pick sixes are we talking about per practice?

I agree with the low score. The LSU/Bama game will be very close again this year just like it has been the last three years. I just am not sure that I agree that we win.
I think that the LSU defense is so good that a player like Peterson could actually be the difference in this game and y'all have him. I think this game will be close like you say but I think Peterson may do something on special teams that may turn the tide in LSU's favor.
I think people are going to have a very hard time scoring on that defense and they get better every week.
