The fact that people are now lowering it to 9-3 or 9-4 says a lot about the HC hire.

bull shite. some fans expectations in year one of a new HC say nothing about the hire. in fact, fan expectations for a new coach do not mean shite.

the only expectation I have is that this years team will be better now that miles is gone. I loved miles but his hiring and retaining CC and then fricking with the offense killed it for me. I firmly expect a BETTER OFFENSE. I saw one last year from the very first week miles was gone.

So your excitement level isn't contingent upon results? Why?

I fully expect the offense to be better this season under Canada, but I've seen many fans say what I've quoted above and that needs to be called out for complete and utter bullshite.

Ensminger and Cameron's offenses were largely the same. Yeah, they dropped a 40-burger on Mizzou, but scored 0 points and 10 points against Alabama and Florida respectively.

For comparison, the offense under Cameron averaged 15.3 points vs Bama (0-3) and 27.3 points vs Florida (3-0).

CEO was getting the credit when they were scoring big but it wS Ensminger's fault or the players fault vs Florida or Alabama.

No other offseason will ever compare to 2011

Injuries
Suspensions
Shady's
Willie Lyles (cue "now that's a name I haven't heard in a while meme)
Charles Robinson's "10" story
Buildup to Oregon

Have we become so entitled and anti LSU that the second best winning percentage overall in the SEC cant even be called "successful"?

So you're calling a 15-11 SEC record (10-10 against the West), with NFL draft picks all over the roster, "successful?"

I just want to be clear where you stand. Because if you answer "yes" I'll know to never take anything you say seriously again.

If miles gets more divine intervention and luck out of his arse in those games, he sticks around and we suffer through more mediocre bullshite. He should've been fired numerous times. I also rooted for my ex wife to have an afffair before our inevitable divorce so I could avoid paying her alimony. I caught her. It hurt but was worth it in the long run.

Dude shut the frick up. The Florida bs is ridiculous. You act like they shut us down and our offense sucked. We've been through this before. Quit trolling. Bama shut us down...Florida didn't..

Not trolling, just pointing out that the offense wasn't that much different between Ensminger and Cameron.

I even prefaced my post by saying I expect the offense to be much better this year.

Clearly, you're paying attention.

Groupee and 18 are big-time miles lovers. Just ignore them.

It was MUCH better aside from bama, and not even close. Lsu blew everyone else the frick out. Something miles often struggled with.

Do you want me to post stats that completely destroy this fallacious talking point?

ETA: Also, "blowing out" a team has just as much to do with the defense as it does with the offense and I think we can agree that Dave Aranda had a better defense than Kevin Steele and the latter years of Chavis.

In terms of point production, the offenses under Ensminger were putting up about the same as what we saw with 3 years under Cameron.

Won't miss the horrible Special teams/Wont miss the horrible Clock management that was so bad the only Coach I ever saw after 15 Minute Halftime, come out and get delay of game on the KO/ Won't miss using all 3 Timeouts in the 1st quarter cause we can't get the play in or line up correctly/ won't miss the sloppy no attention to detail offense/ Won't miss no coaching on the sideline's with players coming off the field just sitting around looking lost. ect ect This is an 8-4 team with Miles as head Coach. So yes I'm looking forward

No, if it happens, it will be on the coach.

I agree with everything you say in regard to Miles' shite, but why do you assume this is an 8-4 team with Miles when only twice during his LSU coaching tenure he finished a season with 8 wins?

ETA: And if your expectation for this season with Miles still as the coach is 8-4, does that mean you think 9-3 this season would be a success?

If so, what the frick is the goal for LSU as a program nowadays?

CEO staff had some gaffs in '16. Quite a few delay penalties especially.
Of course, that was on players. CEO is untouchable.

Ok, that's a fair and realistic expectation to have considering the circumstances... My worry is that I already see people setting up for LSU to go 9-3 this season and say "but it's still better than when Les did it because we threw for more yards".
