Its just like when Aranda came into a defense that Kevin Steele just couldnt pull together into a cohesive unit, then then they go from allowing 24 pts/gm to 16pt/gm. I think Canada is going to open up some of the offense and let the talent spread its wings.
Another related thing... People still think Miles and Cameron are running the team and think Orgeron is going to fail. Don't argue with them. Let them think that. It will be better during the season when we start unloading on people and can enjoy the shocked reactions.

I love that both of our coordinators had great success with less talent than LSU offers. Aranda proved himself last season. Don't be surprised if Canada does the same on the offensive side.

Watching Peterson play, I honestly think Etling is the perfect fit for this offense.

Yeh, I think the same thing. At least, the best fit will be a calmer, composed QB that has a high football IQ and can make sound decisions. The athleticism is just a bonus weapon if they have it. This is a smart offense that uses motion to reveal and confuse the defense. It takes some offensive reads to comprehend it effectively. I only see Etling as being able to do this (thus far)

Watch out for Lindsey Scott !!!

Don't have a solid QB? OK, fine. But damn...if that's the case, at least make your running game more creative than I-formation toss dives.
You have no idea what youre talking about. Under Miles ran the ball out of more formations than 95% of other schemes. All thise spread teams run the same damn running plays over and over. I swear some of you dont pay attention to other programs.
Those high flying oregon offenses ran just 4 running plays.

Tigers offense is finally going to turn the page from the simple arithmetic which is all Miles and Cameron were capable of teaching
Oh look its another poster regurgitating bullshite that he saw other rantards post. You do realize that our prostyle scheme is far more complex than all those spread offenses, right? We ran plays out of far far more formations than all spread teams. But hey dont let facts get in the way of you posting.
Chip Kelly ran the same exact play 50% of the time at Oregon. His entire playbook consists of 4 running plays.

This actually shouldn't come as a surprise to those who know Kelly's system well. While a coach at the University of Oregon, Kelly gave a talk on his offense at a coaching clinic and explained that his running game - the key to his offense - has just four plays.

It will be nice to an offense that molded around the strengths of our players rather than trying to force a player into our gameplan.

I would like to see etling run the majority of the offense and have Scott come in on certain downs. Similar to what spurrier did with Tebow's first year. FWIW Florida won the NC that year. I think this will give defenses more difficulty to prepare while giving our QB experience for next year.
