I'm watching a replay on watchespn, and, yes, I am impressed. Hands, hands and more hands! Hands everywhere! Hands on the ball when Alcorn tries dribble penetration, hands in Alcorn passing lanes, hands on Alcorn shots. This is a defensive minded team of the likes I haven't seen since Daddy Dale was running the Freak. Patience on offense, good ball movement. They take some quick shots but only when they are wide open. This team will beat some teams with more talent and will dominate teams with equal talent.

11,000 plus in the Pmac. Largest crowd for a season opener in 20 years.

The crowd was pretty raucous.

it wasn't 11K actual though... Still probably 7-8K, which is fantastic for an opener against a bad SWAC team, hope all those people keep coming back and keep bringing friends

Lynn "love me some hyperbole" Rollins kept saying 20 years. Was that Brady's first game or just Lynn throwing a number out there?

I'm not sure, because Coach Wade said the same after the game, so that leads me to believe it was something that Kent Lowe dug up

I like what I saw. One thing I noticed is that there wasn't the mandatory 5 minute stretch where we score zero!

I'm thrilled about the possibilities with Wade at the helm. Some of my brothers and I favorite memories are going to the PMAC in late 80s early 90s watching the Tigers with my pops.

I expect to lose in the teens but I definitely dont expect to finish at the bottom of the sec after watching us play. Guard play and defense on the perimeter can take you a long way.

Was keeping track of the score on here and watched maybe the last 7 or 8 minutes on espn last night. One thing that impressed me last night was when we had 99 at the end of the game and the entire crowd wanted 100 and Wade wouldnt let them try and score out of sportsmanship to alcorn st. Just another little signal that he is going to do things the right way no matter what. Wade is going to be shocked how much of a sleeping giant lsu basketball really is when he starts really winning. Home games will be very intimidating for opponants when we start filling the pmac and the energy in the crowd is off the charts. It could even happen a few games this season.
