Do you question anything in life or just deal with it? Someone hits your car "oh well". Someone breaks into your your house "oh well". Out fishing and your boat starts to sink "oh well, might as not bail our because I mean those Edmund Fitzgerald guys all died so in not as bad off as them".

If you, not the "royal" you, the other you, are going to persist in labelling people, IMO, the "nega-Tigers" are those individuals who alledgedly care for LSU football and condone the performance of the program last Saturday. Anyone that can recognize excellence should be disappointed, not angry. Hey, if the other you and those like minded don't strive for excellence and accept a failure to perform up to expected standards, then I agree with you that our program will probably never have more success. The difference will be that you will still be happy and I will long for the times we, the collective we, were a dominent force in college football.

This is what we expected at the beginning of the season - we would lose 3-4 games. All of a sudden we're hot, and start listening to national media putting us in BCSNCG discussion, and we forget our original (and realistic) expectations going into the season. It will be 2-3 years until we're back as a top 5 team. Next year, we should have a better D, but a fresh QB among other changes. Blame goes around the table, but I think this game goes first to three interceptions and lack of D on 3rd downs, as many have already discussed.

This is basically why I said "Get a grip."

I confess that I was disappointed for about five minutes. Can you think of any reason I should have dwelled on it for longer than that?

We're not on the team. These games have nothing to do with us or anything for which we strive.

I could be both, of course. I'm not a reptile.

Because sometimes your team loses.

My team's level of success has nothing to with me and is in no way aligned with how complacent I am or am not as a person.

Same with you, by the way. That is a slice of reality on which you should

get

a

grip.

So your donation goes to what? Might be a small drop in the bucket but it's all the drops that fill the bucket that pay for things.

Do you not get happy when we win? Was winning it all in 03 and 07 not awesome?

If you don't care about winning or losing, why do you care at all? If it's just entertainment, why not just watch days of our lives or something.

I've always gotten what I've paid for. If I pay for a shirt, I get a shirt. If I pay for a ticket to see a game, I get to see a game. LSU has always ponied up. I've always gotten my money's worth, and I always will.

I'm happy to begin with. I don't need a football team to win to make me happy. That's a big problem for you, it appears. You let the football team determine your mood so much that you can't comprehend the basic thoughts I'm conveying to you right now.

Yes. Those weren't the only awesome things that ever happened to LSU football. Awesome things happen every single season, and mostly every single game.

If you don't care about winning or losing,
I neither win nor lose. I have no official involvement with the team.

Scratch that. I'm an LSU fan. That already is a lifetime win.

why do you care at all?
It's fun.

Watching football is more fun.

Ballscaster, in life you either care or you don't care about events that occur. If you weren't disappointed for longer than five minutes and you feel that these games have nothing to do with you, then as a LSU fan ( I am now presuming that you are one), you and I are different in our experiences being a Tiger. I will admit that I wished that I was as emotionally separated from LSU football as you. I do note that you are profiled as a Navy fan. Maybe that explains the reason you didn't dwell and that you don't believe that you're the twelfth man on the field( borrowed from TAMU) in victory and defeat. I don't think you're a reptile, just a diffrent type of LSU ranter.

I call bullshite on this.

We should be able to compete for a title almost every year with the talent we have and where our program is.

We're talking about college football. That isn't life.

Interesting thing to say. I'm no less emotionally involved during the game than when I was 12. The difference now is that I turn it off when the game is over...because it's over. If you watch a movie in the middle of the afternoon, and something in the movie brings you to tears, there's no reason that you should be still emotionally affected by it at dinner time, much less half a week later (not to mention you're kind of a homo for crying about it in the first place). No different with football.

Last entry today, thanks for the comment "Good man". I believe that I am a good man, but I have done bad things in my life. Regarding your continued labelling of people who differ from you in opinion, let me say this, I note that you have entered over two thousand comments on this web site since June. Who needs to get a grip or, perhaps, a life.

Over and out, squid.

This game was lost by Mett. This could have been a 10 point win if Mett gives us his usual game.

All we have is Mett - the D is not going to win us any games. They are too small and slow.

Tiger Stadium is ranked as the #1 place to see a football game more often than any other stadium out there. Everybody else in the world thinks we have the best deal, and you "demand" better.

So where do you we open the seasons now against premiere non-conference teams? In Texas. Next year, with the new South Endzone upper deck, Alleva has decided to play Wisconsin in Texas.

Maybe someone needs to tell Alleva to stop this shite as well. He's taking money away from the businesses around the LSU campus for these big games and giving it to businesses in Texas. On top of this they are going to increase ticket prices so you can see Sam Houston, UL Monroe and New Mexico State with the SEC schedule of Kentucky, Miss. State, Ole Miss and Bama. That fricknut AD took what would have been a HUGE game in Baton Rouge and put it in Houston. Maybe if he stopped taking the big games on the road they wouldn't have to ask for more money because no one wants to see UL Monroe and New Mexico State or Furman this weekend.

AGREED, I hope we can salvage a cotton bowl and ruin a couple more teams season and I'm good with it, how many other teams win anything losing 11 JRS ? Not many.
