And almost every year we're playing for Omaha. How many times do you have to see this movie ?

If that’s where we’ve sunk as a program, Paul really needs to be fired. “Just make it to Omaha”

You had me until you said this. I agree with you somewhat on years like 2014 and 2016, where we didn’t really play that well during the season but got really hot at the end of the season, won the SEC tourney, and became a national seed, but I think we earned that right to be a national seed those years. We played very good baseball when it mattered the most, won a tournament against some of the best teams in the country, and our RPI went up.

It wasn’t a mistake that we were a national seed those years, but it’s baseball and things happen. Should have won against Houston in 2014, still don’t understand how we collapsed like that whenever we had Houston beat in Game 6 of that regional, and then we got eliminated by the best team in college baseball in 2016.

There’s a certain quality about championship caliber teams that does not play down to their opponent. They want to push Nicholls st’s shite in the same way they they would Florida

I think PM has become a little less urgent than what he once was as a coach. I think it trickles down as a team. Losing a game here or there due to parity is expected, of course. But the team just looks so dull in the mid week.

Now is that something they can play out of when the games truly matter? Yea, I think so. They’ve done it before. But it’s a different group of kids. The apologists just assume it’s a given when it’s not.

You need focus, urgency, the expectation to win at all costs every night. This builds trust and confidence that is hard for other teams to over come. That with LSU’s talent makes them extremely hard to beat when it matters. One team one heartbeat. LSU football exemplified this.

Exactly why teams since 2016 have more midweek loses. Paul is an older coach without the fire he once had.

Truer words have never been spoken on TD. Jesus, I mean every single regular season out of conference loss is a travesty.
I love this team more than most, but I promise there's no need to hit the panic button just yet.

Congratulations, finished top 16 in the country. That's not good enough and shouldn't be acceptable. Getting to Omaha only means you're one of the last 8 teams. Really should not be that difficult with the talent this team gets every year.
