Actual practices conducted by the coaches. Spring games are nothing more than PR stunts by the team and athletic dept to satisfy fans. Coaches hate them and would do away with them if possible.

Exactly. And what’s even better is I love how many of the idiots on here always seem to conveniently forget that at least 3 other scrimmages have been played in addition to the spring game. But because they can’t see those, they just want to ignore they ever existed and go solely off what they see in Spring game. Like it is impossible to think that a player, namely a qb in this situation, could have ever been better than the others in all 3 of those scrimmages. But by golly, let them be off in the Spring game, and that’s it, they are no good with no chance of ever being good.

I'm always interested in opposing points of view.

I don't like or think it is fair using spring games to form a opinion on a QB. They are never live for contact. He made some nice plays but at the same time. Lets take the TD to Jefferson as a example. This would have never happened if the QB had been live. This isn't a positive or a negative, just my opinion.

Best post of the thread.
The true freshman out played Fromm in the Georgia spring game. Guess Fromm needs to transfer. I expect that he will be at Georgia Tech next season.

I don't really disagree, but to play devil's advocate, people may put more stock in the spring game because of the audience. It doesn't matter how good of a practice player someone is if they can't do it under the bright lights.

Exactly and the fact that LSU's staff so heavily recruited Joe Burrow to transfer to LSU should tell us all where the LSU QB's were at coming out of spring.

Well I haven’t ever done it; so I certainly can’t speak with any authority on the subject. But I find it very hard to believe that a Spring game really produces any kind of significant nervousness as to have that big an impact on play. But I agree that I certainly wouldn’t put it past some of the people on here to really think that.

Call me crazy, but I would suggest letting fall camp play out and let the coaches decide who should start. They've only had one practice and the rant seems to want to anoint one of the QBs now.

Agreed, picking a QB now is not the thing to do and all 4 should be in the picture.

Last year was a no brain pick but this year any of the 4 could be it.

Burrow and McMillan are older and seem to be more mature and see the field better, Narcisse has the best legs and Brennan seems to have a great arm but his scramble ability is the weakest of the 4.

We have to trust the coaches with the pick

You are not crazy at all
