Even with Nuss, we have no consistent reliable receivers!

I don't care if we have Tom Brady trotting out there, our receivers (besides Taylor) can't consistently catch the fricken ball! They are not great at getting separation and can't go up and muscle their way to get the 50/50 ball. They have one job to do, CATCH THE FRICKEN BALL, and they can't do it! Meanwhile FSUs receivers are like vacuum cleaners out there. Lacy should be nowhere near a D1 program, I feel like he hasn't made a catch in 2 years, and then looks at his hands everytime he drops the ball. How he made the team is beyond me. And Coleman absolutely abused our DBs, can't believe we passed on him when he was right there in our backyard and went for Bech instead who isn't even here anymore...smh! Kelly better figure it out and start holding himself and others accountable or this will get ugly quick!

Uh, Nabers and Thomas are solid. And Taylor is the real deal. An underutilized weapon.

Then hire a freaking WR Coach that can fine tune and teach them how to focus/concentrate when the lights come on!

How do you know this? The receivers aren’t given the opportunity to make a play or draw a PI.

How are you going to get a 50/50 ball that gets thrown into the DBs back? And there were times when Malik was being shadowed by a safety with Thomas essentially 1-on-1 with a DB but JD forced to Malik.

He shouldn't be a go-to, and realistically should be more like 4/5 on deck, but I think he still has a place on this team.

The biggest difference with Nuss is the willingness to test the opposing backfield, whether that's with tight throws or deep throws to push them back. I'm not convinced Nuss is heads and shoulders the best option for this team, but at the same time LSU has enough playmakers at RB/WR (theoretically....) that they don't need someone at QB whose first instinct is to tuck and run.

The more you throw the less you’ll notice drops.

It’s harder with JD bc he doesn’t air it out often, so we rely heavily on the few times

While looking for Nuss over JD hot takes, I found this gem. No reliable receivers!
