Body of work isn’t going to matter here. If LSU loses and Oklahoma wins out or the Pac 12 schools, the narrative will suddenly change to conference champions. The nation will push against LSU getting in without winning their own division or conference. It sucks but that OU loss to KSU will be long forgotten.

LSU needs to win out or have Utah/Oregon/OU all have 2 losses.

I am inclined to agree. It's infuriating that the narrative can change so easily when it suits those with an agenda. I don't see us getting in over a one-loss Big XII or PAC XII champ. The extra crappy thing is that we'd probably end up #5, just one spot away from getting in.

Based on what? History tells us the exact opposite.

So you are infuriated by something you THINK is going to happen, based on absolutely nothing. Here's a newsflash, the whole world is not out to screw LSU. It seems like you are the one with the agenda.

I think it would have to be a close, competitive loss first of all and LSU would need to win out obviously.

1. Bama as SEC champ
2. Ohio State or Penn State
3. Clemson
4. Up for grabs

If it’s a one loss Ohio State, I think we get snubbed. If we are going up against PAC 12, Big 12 (assuming Baylor doesn’t finish undefeated), and Penn Sate, I think LSU gets the nod.

I’d much rather win Saturday, but I don’t think a loss knocks us out of it. Also, it would help to have Texas A&M ranked at the end, and we would need to destroy them.

I'm saying that it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this happens. It's not necessarily that everybody is out to screw us, it's that you've got 5 Power conference champs battling for 4 spots. I don't see the committee taking us over a one-loss conference champ.

Being a conference champion is just one feather in the cap of these teams over LSU. LSU would have literally almost every other feather working in its favor. The committee has passed on conference champions before.

You don’t beat Bama you don’t make playoffs plan and simple. Unless the hell freezes and weird crap unfolds.

UGA being 6th is good for the loser of the Bama/LSU.

If you look at criteria if LSU loses they should be the team right ahead of UGA because we have better wins UT, UF & AU vs ND & UF on top our loss to the 1st or 2nd ranked team is better than UGA’s loss to cocky.

Now Bama could drop right behind UGA because they won’t have a win to compare with the UF win!

I’m not rooting for this scenario. We have seen Bama get in before under this scenario but they get different treatment usually, unfortunately.

It will take a lot of balls for the committee to shun other conference champs just to put LSU in with 1 loss. I hope I’m wrong.

You say this like it's an absolute fact. LSU has never been in a position to find out, so we don't know.

If everything holds serve and happens how it is favored to happen, I think LSU will be in the playoffs. There are bound to be a few shake ups though. LSU could have those shake ups work in its favor, and then we are easily in. Or those shake ups could work against LSU, and they fall just on the outside.

Let's just hope there are no questions, because we crush Bama and cruise to a SEC title.

KSU going 10-2 won’t help. We need to root against that too.

It would be close between a one loss LSU team and a one loss Pac 12 and Big 12 champion. I think a 1 loss Oregon team would have a strong case for getting in.

Oklahoma's loss to Kansas State is a lot worse than the score would indicate. You just look at the score and it's 48-41 and it looks like one of those fluky Big 12 games that happens every year. But that game was 48-23 with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter. OU was getting housed. Give them credit for making the final score competitive but K State dominated that game. If K State loses a few more games that loss is going to look worse and worse.

No matter what happens a loss to Kansas St is always going to look way worse than a loss to Alabama.
