As long as I can call a moratorium on your stupid arse for always using italics. Agreed?

Mett with start here next year. No doubt JJ will try to improve but Mett is just a much better QB and will be starting for LSU in 2011.(period)

Or how about just keep him on the bench and run a wild Shepard package.
This makes entirely too much sense to do for our offense.

Call it what you will, but if Mett is half the QB he appears to be, he should have a pretty good chance to win the starting job. I said it last year and I will say it again...we will not win a championship with our current QB's on the roster. Maybe they haven't been developed by Crowton, but the bottom line is, they are not consistent SEC-calilber QBs. As for Crowton, wasn't this the final year of his contract? If so, if he comes back it will prolly be because he has signed another multi-year contract, which will put him here for several more years!

Keep in mind guys. It all depends on what happens with Crowton. If he stays then obviously JJ/JL have the upper hand. If we have a new OC I expect Mett to be starting by the the 2nd quarter of the Oregon game.

I have been hearing that for how long now? He was the starter all season and came into the season as the starter. If anything he looks worse than last year. Same with Richard Murphy. Each year was suppose to be their breakout season and neither has shown anything.

Now in all fairness, thank god they aren't depending on me and my athletic ability. Sometimes some people just have a limited amount of something, whether it is ability, smarts, drive or whatever. I realize they give it their all or hope they do and not everyone will be a superstar. But he has not shown anything to convince me that he will have a banner year next.

I am not saying that JL is the solution either. At times he looked great and others he still looks scared. I wonder if more playing time would have helped or hurt. (I am at least glad he was able to come back and redeem himself and persevere over his horrible season where he was tossed in unprepared.)

When JL was in at the end of the games, he had the team up to the line and ran a decent 2:00 minute offense. Now obviously JJ did not look worth a crap the last 5:00 minutes. Seemed the play and speed were very slow. Some want to blame GC, but how come when JL is in they can speed it up but when JJ is in they can’t.

Its too late now but I still think Les should have tried RS at qb, he can't be any worse than we have now. He has not had a chance last year to throw one pass.THANKS LES ROE BEING SUCH A BRILLIANT COACH!

I'm glad you've seen Russell Shepard try to throw a college football. If you did you wouldn't be saying this shite. It's awful looking actually.

No way.

you really expect a transfer to just up and grab the reigns and lead the team seamlessly?

As in the improvement from a 100+ ranked offense? Yes.

Especially since Jefferson will be more experienced in the SEC

Doesn't matter.

I can't wait to see JJ/JL get benched.

It would be pretty unprecedented benching two senior qb's for a juco transfer.

Have you seen those two soon-to-be senior QBs play?

When has LSU benched a qb under miles?

Qb's only are benched on miles teams when they are hurt it seems like.

Mett has a whole spring to try to win the starting position, if he gives the job to JJ next fall. All it will take is a couple bad plays and the Mettenberger chants will begin.. Then its only a matter of time.

If JJ could not be benched this year, no way in hell that a 1st year transfer is going to unseat him.

would you take UGA's QB Murray over JJ/JL ??

if so (i'd say 99.99 would)...

Mett was poised to be the starter - had a better spring game ...

IF

Murray > JL/JJ...and Mett > Murray

Then MEtt will start at Jerry World...Coach is looking for a reason to bench those guys, just never have had one...till now (assume Mett signs)

very SOON?

Opening vs the Oregon Ducks means we have to have someone ready on day one.

You just listed all the reason why JJ won't be the starter.
