1. Les Miles needed to go and was holding LSU back

2. The mentality behind, and execution of, the coaching search was horrendous, which led to hiring a coach significantly worse than Miles

Both statements are true.

I hate to break it to you but O will be here for at least another year.

I'm sure 6-6 would get O out. Does 6-6 get Alleva also?

frick this tough schedule bullshite excuse making.

We have two very good teams on our schedule, Alabama and Georgia.

Auburn and Miami are pretty good, not great.

That’s four losses to good teams.

Putting us at six losses means we lose to every good team we play and can’t even be expected to beat mediocre teams with huge problems and new coaching staffs like Florida and A&M.

How the frick is this acceptable to ANYONE with an active brain and functioning testicles??

Next year though!!

If O is a 2 year failure on a NOT rebuild job, Alleva is out at the same time.

LOL

You are not wrong at all that it might have been time for Les to ride off into the sunset but the way things have played out are fricking comical. The good ole boy network that Saban and Emmert tried so hard to eradicate is back with a vengeance. It really just is a microcosm of Louisiana, people with no business being in power politicking their way to the top because our population is so ignorant. If the cookie monster is your only back up, then you sure as frick keep Les. Take Dale Weiner for instance, people have been saying for years that he's over the hill, underachieving and needs to be fired... THE MAN WINS A frickING STATE CHAMPIONSHIP THE VERY NEXT YEAR... Why? because of continuity and he is competent. The only reason I use this example is because im from BR and live here and the parallels are obvious. The people here are too dumb and short sighted to sustain any kind of success.

I agree with your logic but there is so much politics involved that I think both of them stay even with a losing record this year.

I literally agree with everything you said, but why does that invalidate my first point? Both things can be true.

There is zero chance Alleva gets another chance to be "the search"

I wish I could agree with that but who is holding Alleva accountable?

Let me be clear, I am a huge believer that "we" are our biggest problem. Culture matters.

Not a chance.

What the hell is a career loser selling after running OM into the ground and then LSU? Experiment is over at that point.
