Pretty much the same. There are always competitive teams just outside the top 25.

This is fkn ridiculous. Just because Radford can't field a football team doesn't mean their basketball team is worth a shite. You can't be this dumb. Unbelievable that you think a sweet sixteen appearance where we weren't even competitive is better than a #6 overall final ranking in football.

Then, I consider the source. Then it makes sense.

Kinda funny you preach about different opinions, then when my opinion is that Wade isn't a HOF coach yet, suddenly different opinions don't matter. I think Wade is a good not great coach, so far. What he is great at is recruiting...by whatever means.

Here is a comparison you might (hopefully) understand. What Wade has done would be like Orgeron taking over for Hallman and having the tigers winning 10 plus games in 3-4 years due to fb taking longer to rebuild. (Dinardo did this somewhat, but not to the extent Wade has imo).Does any clear thinking LSU fan believe Coach O could have rebuilt the Curley debacle from the ashes the way Wade did with Jones???? Not to mention that anybody with their eyes open knows Will is just getting this sucker rolling and we will win BIG for as long as he is here.

No shite dude. We moved up several spots last year from preseason. We MAY do it again, I hope so. We sure aren't garnering a lot of respect right now though. We will get our chance.

Football was 23, finished #6. But, they now have the respect.

OK. There are lots of schools that don't have football that basketball programs that are worth a shite. Radford made the dance

You're a straight psycopath. Why are you freaking out like this? My point was always that pointing to being ranked 6th in football as inherently better than 15th or so in basketball doesn't make sense considering there are more teams in D1 basketball than football. But since you are the one who seems desperate to determine which had a "better" season, the basketball team won the SEC and the football team finished 3rd in the West. Which of those is better in your mind?

Never said he's a hall of fame coach. He obviously is at the very least a very good coach considering the miracle he's worked at LSU. And if you think all he is done is brought in talent and rolled the ball out on the court, you're missing the picture entirely. It starts with his hawk-eyed attention to detail, his insane conditioning and nutrition programs and what he preaches in terms of intensity going back to the beginning of offseason workouts all the way up to the end of the season.

Good god dude. I've been an lsu basketball fan a hell of a lot longer than you, through many more coaches, and seen in person many more games. Basketball literally turns over in some blue bloods every single year. If Wade can continue to being in five stars, we will be good. Trent fkn Johnson won the sec with talent too. You have no idea what O could or couldn't do. Right now, like Wade, he is doing a hell of a job and has lsu closer to a championship in football than where basketball is. That's a fact. Good god.

That is quite literally an opinion and not a fact.

Miracle? Yes I guess it's a miracle we suddenly started landing 5 stars. Sounds like lsu " committed" to doing what it takes to improve. I'm very glad. Yes, I believe a #6 finish is significantly better than a #16 finish in basketball. Just as I believe it is significantly better than a #16 finish in baseball. This is stupid. I'm not against Wade, I like him. I'm just not building a statue just yet off one sweet 16 appearance

Apparently an opinion that Vegas strongly agrees with.

This is what is pathetic about you. You simply cannot allow people being excited about the turnaround job that Wade has done with the basketball program without somehow making it about O and what he's done. Anyone being rational and fair will say O has done a solid to good job thus far and has things on the right path. Why can't you just let people be excited, and perhaps a bit overzealous, about Wade and the remarkable job he's done? The basketball program hasn't been consistently relevant since the early 90s and it looks like we're on the way to being a consistent competitor. People are excited. What's so wrong with that?

LSU football got embarrassed by a team that got embarrassed by the natiional champions. LSU football wasn’t close to being a championship contender either.

Before I get labeled as an O hater, I believe there is a good chance to go 11-1 and get a playoff berth.

Here's what's pathetic about you. Us "o pumpers" are excited about lsu being a NC contender again. Yet, you and your group, shite on him every chance you get, and he is the closest to a NC of any of the three sports. I think Wade is doing a damn good job. But, it's ONE year. Let's at least put a couple together. Btw, I'm such an O pumper, I think he should be fired at 9-3.

Just link one (1) post of me shitting on O. One (1) solitary post.

Do you think I'm not excited about football? I'd be excited about football even if I didn't think we had a legit shot at the playoffs this year. Which I do, by the way. The difference between me and you is I don't jump in football threads and scream at the sky about people needing to give Wade credit.

In 2018, no. But, there were only a couple teams better. Probably just two. In 2019, yes. Outside of many people who do this for a living, Vegas thinks they are 7th best bet to win a NC at 19-1. Vegas thinks basketball is tied 25th best bet at 80-1. Now, who is considered closer?

We’re getting off track. LSU basketball is not going backwards. End of story.

Vegas takes just about everything into consideration including the possibility of new problems with WW. As time passes and hopefully nothing new pops up, they'll zero in more on the actual talent, coaching, and the odds will improve imo.

Common man!
Every knowledgeable sports fan knows you can rebuild a basketball team quicker than a football team. What Wade did is awesome. What Orgeron has done is impressive as well.
