i think they are coming back. I actually listened to them mainly for Cowherd and Ott.

There is a chance a radio group could purchase a station and air ESPN Radio programming w/ a few local shows. WIBR aired ESPN Radio b/c they got it for free. So basically WIBR had to pay no money for the rights to carry ESPN and Ott paid to be on the air.

The station's transmitter was damaged as Hurricane Gustav swept through Baton Rouge. WIBR has been off the air since September 1, 2008

I miss Cowherd. He has the best sports show on the radio. The problem with WIBR is that at times it sounded like it wanted to be an urban rap station instead of a sports talker

i thought they were trying to fix the transmitter and it would be back up at some point early '09 can anyone confirm this or is the stations simply done
