An eagle flying around your stadium >>>>>> a tiger in a cage

I love Eagles but if he perched in Mike's cage, Mike would want some cole slaw with that.

And I doubt that dog could cover the 100 yard dash
in a quarter of football.

also Baylor brings their bear into the stadium. A couple of years ago he and Bevo almost got into a fight.

Who gives a crap about an eagle? We're talking about MASCOTS here. I guess LSU should consider having a couple of "alternate" mascots too. Maybe "Gros Damn Beak" or "Swampsmen".

The current Mike is a pre-madonna. He only performs when he fells like it. All the others bring it wheather they feel like it or not.

Do you mean a prima donna? Technically speaking, Mike doesn't qualify, being a male and non-human.

And what do they bring? Colorado has a buffalo (that is not a buffalo but a bison). Auburn has a tiger who is a raptor and has wings. Bama brings no elephant to the stadium. The list goes on... At least LSU has a Tiger that is a Tiger.

And poor Georgia can't keep their mascot alive. They just lost their mascot for the third time (actually 4, counting the interim mascot, who while no longer the mascot, is at least still alive), in 2 years or so. While I do feel sympathy for the Georgia fans, it seems a little ridiculous to have the Georgia mascot, whose life expectancy seems to be about that of the average mosquito on this list. Plus, it doesn't seem much a deal to have a dog (cool as UGA is) as a mascot. Pretty poor list if you ask me, overall. I think Mike is way cooler than any of the ones on the list. Ralphie is ok; Bill is kinda neat; but everyone of those would on the list would make a nice meal for Mike.

Glad someone else caught that. As if the term came around when the singer did.
