Last week we told you how ESPN has reached a 20-year agreement with The University of Texas to launch a network based on the school in September 2011. Texas wasn’t the only school! ESPN also locked in deals with USC, Villanova, LSU, Miami, Louisville, BYU, San Diego State and Tennessee too and we have the new logos for each channel. The channel will offer a variety of programs, highlighted by more than 200 exclusive events annually from numerous sports, original series and studio shows, historical programming and academic and cultural happenings. There will also be a broadband website to fill in the gaps.

Says the deal is done. Rumor?

I think it's because someone just aggregated the logos that have previously appeared on ESPNU and made up a story. I'd like to see a more reputable source before I believe it.

If this is for real consider me PSYCHED. Does that mean we'll get EVERY LSU baseball game on TV? What about rebroadcasts of football games I wonder? We'll also get the other LSU sports I'm aware but this will just be so awesome you have no idea.

The LSU one is old, they have been using that in ESPN U adds for a while now

I can't really believe that. Yet.
Those logos are from espnu when games were on.
And no ALabama or Auburn or Florida? But a san diego state one????

Looking at the logos this could be made up. This would have been news from ESPN just as the Texas deal was.

Also, that LSU logo sucks. If they do make an LSU only channel, that should definitely not be the logo.

the logos are real, theyve been around for a while
i doubt this story is true, but i'd be all for. i just cant see how the SEC would allow this

They wouldn't since we already have the SEC Network. Oh well this would be awesome!
Speaking of the SEC Network why in the hell does a actual channel on TV not exist?

With the big arse contract SEC signed with ESPN two years ago, not likely LSU would split off of that.
UT gets $15 million/yr in their deal. LSU gets $17 million/yr in SEC deal. Doubt ESPN would renegotiate.
