I've been more than pleasantly surprised with the level of linebacker play.

I agree 1005 with GFunk. Secondary (particularly safeties have disappointed at times.

BTW, add Defensive Cooordinator to the list and our would rate an "A"; good adjustments as needed this year.

Secondary played spot on in the second half against AM and. They can throw the ball to four wide.

Well, since we all know our D is pretty good, who wants to grade our offense?

But the strength of this defense is the Front 7.

GFunk

I'm pleasantly surprised by the secondary, and I'm not as hard on the safeties as you are, but anyone who thinks the secondary grades out higher than the DLine is smoking some of the Badger's shite.

Think the line covers for the secondary weaknesses. A&M would have thrown for a shite load of yards if Maziel hadn't missed on a few passes caused by heavy pressure last week.

Overall it's one of the best units I have seen at LSU. No reason to think it will be worse next year either, no matter who leaves. Safety may be a little inexperienced.

I'll take a stab, and no allowances for injuries, either.

OLine: C+ Doing well in running game, but still need max protection in passing game

Tight ends: B. pleasantly surprised so far

Wide Receivers: D can't catch, can't get open, no YAC

RBs: A- good and deep, but so far, no truly great back

QB: C. If he can hold together for Bama this will go up.

Linebackers = A+ imo. Minter, Barrow, and Kwon (pre injury) are playing lights out. Louis is starting as a freshman and nobody would have predicted that. the future looks good at lb
