WTF is wrong with you???!!! Do you have kids? Know someone that died of cancer or some other horrible disease?

What exactly is the point of shitting all over this thread multiple times with hateful posts? I'd assume no one is forcing you to read this, so just keep your vile thoughts to yourself you POS.

As a parent with a 16 year old child, I can't imagine the pain. Ripped my heart out.

God bless Sid, his family and Les Miles.

You're trolling a thread about a dead 16 yr old kid. Go play in traffic if you're bored.

Take your stupidity somewhere else.

Les reaching out to Sid is an indication of how great of man he is.

RIP Sid.

This is the wrong reply. You are really giving this person just what they are looking for. We are all better served simply ignoring the ignorance.

In line w/ the Ortis family's wish to help raise awareness and funding for childhood cancer, I went over to St. Jude Hospital's website and made a donation....after I gathered myself up.

I'm running the St. Jude Half Marathon in December. My wife is doing the full. It's an amazing organization. No place better for donations to go.

Some time, Rock, when the team is up against it, when things are wrong and the breaks are beating the boys, ask them to go in there with all they've got and win just one for the Gipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock. But I'll know about it, and I'll be happy."

My all time favorite movie, and I cry then too.

Thanks for piling it on

Very fitting though

Beautiful piece. I honestly can't say better things about our coach. Stand up guy. The best part was at the end when the reporter said Saban offered Sid to come to an Alabama practice but Sid...declined.

This game is for Sid.

The only, and I mean ONLY thing that would have been better than declining Saban's offer would have been to show up in purple and gold. Haha.

Beautiful story.

Rest peacefully Sid.

I have always thought highly of Les Miles. My thoughts and prayers are with Sid's family. Les is a great man and a great example for all of us to follow.

This story really hits home for me. My sister passed away of osteosarcoma in 2006. It was a truly terrible experience for her throughout her year and a half treatment. We met several impassioned people who helped us through the pain similar to what Les is doing for Sid and his family. Words cannot express how grateful we were and are to those who helped us as I am sure Sid's family is to Les.
