first off, the signs are just that...signs. if you feel the need to tailgate there, go for it, but we will be set up right next to you. people have done it before us and people will do it after us. just because that is where we like to set up every week doesn't mean it is "our spot", yea, it is a tradition of ours to set up there and many people realize that and either set up right next to us or have their own spots. yea, we get there plenty early enough to be set up in that spot, and there will be several out there friday night until game time having a good time. any one is welcome to come by our tailgates and itll be a great party this weekend.
we were out there at 6am for the Tulane game fully set up and playing some beer pong. i don't have to buy any kind of parking pass to tailgate in a great spot and have a good time on game days..

Muddminnow, I was walking in that area earlier and saw two guys walking around taking pictures with dark colored shirts on, Was that you?

nope that wasnt me, I had on a light green shirt yesterday.
I have purple and gold on today. I'll be taking more pictures in about 20 minutes. Some of the tailgate spots that I thought would be available today is now gone as LSU parked their equipment semi in the area now.

Yes, you're still good. About 5 more tents have popped up over there since 5pm yesterday.
The LSU semi is parked parallel to the canal starting at the second footbridge. It has impacted the Kewe D'Awakening, the ones that have the signs up.

Will I be able to park my truck in the field between Nicholson & the driveway? My tent shells are under the Oak Trees in that field. Probally 75 yards across from the Gameday set. We plan on getting there around 5:30.

I'm guessing you can park your truck there. About 15 cars are there already but I'm not sure if they are with GameDay setup or actual tailgaters.

Yeah, should be an okay view.
It wont be nearly as good of a view if it was helf in Alex Box but still a better location than the friggen parade grounds.

yeah, we were wondering if the fact that the fans would all have to funnel through the box's gates would have been a + or - for setting up in there?? Seems like that would have benefited ESPN's need to censor and control everything that showed up onscreen......
