ESPN contract & Night vs Day games

AD Joe Alleva said that he was able to write into the new ESPN contract that LSU can only play in one day game per year. That means that at most, LSU will only have one 11:30 or noon kickoff per year on ESPN starting next year.
He has no control over day vs night games in the CBS contract.
I think that is good news.

Starting next year there will be more and more SEC games on ESPN. Instead of the Raycom game, that game will not be on ESPN and I'm sure many others (haven't read the contract that well)

Why ? CBS only has one or 2 night games per year on TV.
Do you just want to limit LSU's national exposure as much as possible ?

i'd just rather spend a saturday night in tiger stadium rather than a saturday afternoon

Not to mention the 1 pm kickoff with Auburn next year on USA Network

It says they will televise two Thurs. night primetime games. Will we have any say if they choose one of our home games to be a Thurs. night?

And on the sixth day, God created man and Tiger Stadium and electricity and night games...Amen.

love me some night games!

I wish CBS would consider doing more than one night game a year. I know that they bought out CSTV, so maybe they could start putting some night games on that network, once everybody actually starts getting CSTV (or, whatever they're calling it now).
