Thanks for the link. That is really cool, and is why we should all love Les Miles. Yes he's a winner on the field, but he's a winner in life as well.
I was ging to post something about Saban, but I'll do it here. He has no soul. He did a lot to raise LSU from a horrible 90's. But I realize now, it was always about him, not about helping LSU or appreciating its fans. More importantly, due to his incredible ego and selfishness, he also failed to realize that LSU put him on the coaching map by hiring him and giving the opportunity to make a mark. How has he shown his appreciation? When he could have gone to any school after jumping ship from Miami Dolphins, he chose the money to go to LSU's arch rival. And now he has made an obvious objective to yearly try to raid LSU's state for the top players. I am absolutely convinced it's not just about getting good players, it's about trying to rub LSU's and every LSU fan's noses in the dirt. This man does not have one shred of moral character. He is the antithesis of Les Miles. You won't see Les Miles in a tirade against reporters, players, or anyone else. You won't see an ego on legs like Saban.
I'm just very, very glad LSU has a guy with character and loyalty like him. A loss, which I do not think will happen, would not make me feel any differently. Let's just appreciate how fortunate we are to have him.

This is kind of stupid. Why don't you think it's just that the guy is obsessed with excellence and taking on the big challenge and being on the biggest stage?

Maybe this will calm down many of the misogynist and trashy sexual comments about Erin Andrews that we constantly have to see on this site.
And then again, well, maybe not.
Probably not for some.
I'd like to think it would calm some of the irrational paranoia that ESPN and the media in general hates and disrespects LSU. But I know that's a hopeless cause.

Miles is a perfect fit for LSU.

I won’t claim to be the most staunch Miles supporter, in fact after the UT game last year I said "Les has a horseshoe stuck up his arse and this ship is about to sink." I was wrong...clearly.
I had the privilege of meeting Les a couple of weeks ago, Christmas day actually. It was brief, we shook hands and I told him Merry Christmas, in typical Les fashion he responded with a resounding MERRRY CHRISTMASSS!! Similar to what EA said regarding wanting to run through wall, I felt that same excitement just in that brief interaction. The guy has an undeniable presence about him but at the same time gives off a very sincere appreciation for people. After this encounter I finally understood why Les is so successful at LSU and will continue to be so. He just has IT whatever IT is.

butt hurt. just because we had a coach doesn't mean we get him for life. and why would you turn down 4 million, after you went to lsu and they said no, we're stayin with les.
and i've seen les rip refs a new one on the sidelines, just because they dont show every blow up dont think it dont happen. and dont think he never gets in anyones face in the locker room just because you dont see it on a tv camera.
let it go. he coached here, he went to the nfl, and then he took a job for 4 mill. with a great legacy for recruiting. stop acting like everyone on this board wouldnt do the same thing.

Miles's demeanor has a lot to do with our success. He keeps the team loose. He's gotta be a fun coach to play for. And over the years, he's proven he knows how to make the right choices with his coaching staff. Miles is obviously the best coach LSU has ever had. He's made LSU the most fun to watch team in the country! Geaux Tigers!!
