Walker wasn't better than Poche

By the end of the season he was... There's a reason that Mainieri had him going #2 behind Lange in Omaha.

It was like going back in time a couple of years and marveling at this new youngster.

I thought Hilliard would be a starter this year. He was very good when healthy last year. Is he going to be a closer?

Stats lie. I'd have taken Walker on the mound over Lange or Poche at the end of that season because I knew he wasn't gonna give up 4 runs on 3 walks in the first inning. Give me the consistent guy who gives up 4 runs over 8 innings in every start over the guy that exits with a hundred pitches by the 3rd inning in one game and pitches a CGSO the next.

Why does everybody think Poche is an all time great just because he stayed all 4 years?. I mean don’t get me wrong he had his string of good games but he got rocked more often than not.

He has the most wins of any LSU pitcher. That's why. He didn't have the best stuff, and it took him 4 years to get the record, but the record is his.

This isn't remotely correct. Walker is probably the best starter on lsu's staff, given he is fully recovered.

IMO Walker will take that Friday spot before SEC play starts unless Marceaux is as good as they talking, then Walker will get Saturday. Hess is a closer, plain & simple
