What steps can reasonably be taken to insure a fairly called game on Nov 7 vs Bama? Perhaps it would be worthwhile for Alleva to make a trip to Birmingham this week to have a face to face talk with the SEC league officials about this matter.

Get them from another conference.

Joe: listen Steve. There should be more penalties called on Alabama.

Steve: Joe, they're averaging almost 7 penalties per game this season.

Joe: no you misunderstood, Alabama

Steve: correct.

Joe: wait really?

The only thing you can really do is play well enough so that 5 or so bad calls cannot lose the game for you, there isn't anything you can do about the officiating. You can have a situation like the PP interception where it is stone cold black and white and the ref can and will still call it for BAM

That. Great idea. Why couldn't that be done for big games like this? Hate the thought of seeing SEC refs on the field for such an important game.

I have been on the wagon, that the NCAA have their own officials and they should call all games all over the country. No conference officials.

Only a decisive win, blowout....If its a close game, Bama wins, can't be close with the SEC Officials, and you can't trust them with the game in the balance. Must be a "dominant" victory, that's it...

Best idea yet. But as far as this years game goes. How does one get in touch with Alleva and MIles? They need to make it clear to the SEC office that they won't tolerate cheating refs this year and will pull the team from the field. Also need to hold a press conference before the game in order to draw media scrutiny to the situation.

Lets really dissect this theory. If the SEC offices are worried about their own fate in regards to the playoff, wouldn't an LSU victory be more beneficial to them?

You know, normally I wouldn't entertain this kind of retardation, but 2009 Bama game changed me. Something just ain't right in Tuscaloosa. It'll never be impartial. Add in the fact that we've been struggling hard with penalties on the road, that could easily be our undoing in Bryant-Denny.

WHAT? what a foolish statement! They don't care about the SEC or the playoffs. Let me ask you a question: do you as an LSU fan care more about an LSU victory or about the SEC doing well in the playoffs? Which is more beneficial to your psyche.

If every sports writer in the nation will write in their article that all eyes will be on the officiating and their fairness- I believe we may get a fair shake

The issue has to be brought to the forefront and has to be done by the media

The integrity of the SEC and SEC officiating office must be put on display
