Ensminger should use hitches and screens...

to subsidize the running game. A&M is #2 in the nation against the run. This game will show how well Ensminger can adapt the play calling to the situation post-Alabama.
A hitch, WR screen, or swing pass is as good as a running play. However, I would use my bigger receivers who are stronger and should be able to pick up 2 to 5 yards easier from a physical standpoint.

You're leaving out 2 very important components, which are execution and catching the ball a very high percentage of the time for success.

I like the idea of a "long handoff", which a screen is not by the way.
A) We don't seem to think much of them, the only time we throw a bubble screen is when DBs are in bump-n-run. Which is just as wrong as carpet showers.
B) I can't help but notice... we can't complete a screen for shite. Maybe we're 'saving' the real stuff for the big games.
