Look, if the offense fails again, I have no idea how Woodward could allow O to stick around and make yet another OC hire.
I’m not disagreeing with you, if this is the way it turns out. I’m just not sure Woodward pulls the trigger at 9-3. 8-4 probably for sure, but either way I trust Scott to do what’s best for the program.
I’m just hoping most of us who are predicting 11-1 are right and it’s not an issue.

Look that's fine. This just wreaks of things like Malvetto. I just see so few top programs doing things like this. Not a good look. Of course it COULD work, but the risk and the likelihood might say otherwise.
I get that is probably the only first hand experience that we have with co-coordinatiors, but other teams have done it successfully like Clemson & Alabama
Plus there is a clear hierarchy here as they pretty much laid out. There are many coaches around the country that have a specific expertise on one side that ball that oversee their coordinator on that side of the ball without any hitches. I think when you start giving equal autonomy is when you get in trouble

5. The head coach therefore entrusts his offense, the known weak point of his program and the entire reason his predecessor was fired, with an aging mediocre (at best) OC who doesn't want the job and a young inexperienced assistant.
It doesn't seem fair to that young man who has his entire career in front of him. He's being put in a hell of a tough spot.

Well he has a huge opportunity to make a name for himsef, as long as he's not handcuffed.
