I am so sick of all this negative bullshite. I had front row seats to the debacle in Oxford, but Res Ipsa loquitor. We knew it would be a close game but were counting on Ole Miss making mistakes.

Those of you that thought it was going to be easy, etc must be under 30 or know nothing about the rivalry between the two schools. Ole Miss almost always plays us tough and is likely a top 25 program with a murderous schedule. This was picked as a trap game but dozens of football analyst over the Summer. The smart money was always on Ole Miss. This game made their season and was pinched between Florida and Bama for us. Think it is easy to beat two capable SEC teams in a row, look what happened to Bama last year with A&M. They will likely win 8 or 9 games, and it was in Oxford in front of the 9th largest crowd ever, Mett had a horrible night, and our defense sucked. Even Tim Brando picked it saying LSU would be lucky to escape Oxford with a win. We were anything but lucky.

But what do the rest of you want to do, fold it up and call it quits because we are only going to win 9-10 games this season. You realize that you would have had to do this for most all of LSU's football life. So we are not going to win an NC or an SEC championship this year, guess what in all but about half dozen years in our football history that was the case.

Yes it sucks to be out of it in October, but it sucks for every team in SEC too which is out of it which is everyone except Bama, (I am sorry but not counting Mizzou and Auburn as NC contenders) and we have something to say about that on November 9th. We have a young unproven defense had a ridiculous schedule and it finally won out.

UGA, Florida and A&M are all pissed off too but not all talking about firing coaches and sending tickets back.

What do you nega-tigers want?

Like it or not Miles is not going anywhere.
Saban is not coming back to LSU.
Plus half the coaching hires for LSU over last twenty years have been freaking disasters.

Maybe we can hire a freaking "clock management time-out" coach or something.

We are not a NC team this year, and never were although we have played well at times. We are not ready to play Oregon or FSU with our defense this year. (I don't think Bama is either, as the A&M game proved, so we just need to help them out and keep them from embarrassing themselves or the SEC this year.)

BTW, Florida, UGA, Texas, etc all have as high or higher rated talent as we do and they are all having issues too.

If we beat Bama wouldn't most of you taken a 9 or 10 win season and us stopping the three peat? I sure as hell would.

And stop this GD "decline" bullshite. You all know prospective recruits read this so all you are doing is helping Bama and others recruit against us.

If you take Coach Miles anymore, then just geaux fishing or hunting or watch the Saints or something because he is not going anywhere. If enough of you do that and quit going to games etc, there will likely be a change, as indifference is what causes coaches to be fired as much as anything. Bitching on here all the damn time does nothing.

I honestly don't know if he is a genius or an idiot, or something in between but he is our coach for the next half dozen years.

Res Ipsa Loquitor!

If Alleva came out after the season with a plan to offer Miles a 3 year extension on his current deal and up his buyout, would you support it?

Hate to burst your bubble, but most of us enjoyed the Texas win far more than this one.

Your next game is Furman, followed by a bye week. Do you enjoy sounding like a dumbass?

If Miles wins the rest of the games this season, yes.

Baby Rebel, go away and play on the square or something. This is a big boy discussion.

Yes, seems like quite the rational discussion is taking place when you say a flat out lie (OM is sandwiched between FLA and Bama), when in fact your next 2 weeks consist of Furman and a bye week. Do lies like this make you feel better?

The Bama game takes weeks to get ready for...IDK

You won, I was there I saw it. I also saw the Bama game and the A&M game and the Auburn game. (TV)

I was really hoping you would beat Auburn and not be as desperate for a win. Not making excuses but a lot of people picked Ole Miss to win this game. I was hoping we would squeak by but I took Ole Miss at plus 7.5 as I figured it would be a 4 point or less game in the 30's.

Do you think the bears suck or something? I never did. But your defense really does.

Unfortunately, so does ours.

I agree with your post.

I wouldn't bother responding to Grateful Bear. He should go play on his own forum.

Most Rebels I know wouldn't agree; the historical rivalry between LSU and OM was a great one. Hell, even most of my LSU friends would like to see OM return to being consistently competitive and making this a good rivalry again.

Tut had a good post.

That's stupid. I don't think anyone is saying that. Let's replace Miles and the Chef and we'll be better for it.

The smart money was ALWAYS on Ole Miss. That's because Ole Miss is not as talented as LSU, but, they are well-coached, highly motivated and disciplined.

That smart money was on Ole Miss BIG TIME for that game, because the smart money knows that teams like Ole Miss, with those qualities I mentioned, ALWAYS gives LSU fits.

So, I'm with ya all the way, buddy. I know that Coach Miles needn't worry about a thing. He's the best that LSU can do, indeed he is.
